Aaron Bennett enjoyed a fruitful end to the campaign with the U19s, after missing much of it through injury, and was rewarded with a one-year professional contract.

The Wales international scored 11 times in just 12 matches, most notably a spectacular hat-trick, including a long-range screamer and well-executed volley, in PNE’s 8-1 win over Port Vale that sealed their EFL Youth Alliance league title.

Bennett, who can play as both a striker and attacking midfielder, excites fans with his flair and unpredictability and will no doubt be a strong contender for first team duties during the 2022/23 season.
