Noah Mawene’s name stands out in the U19s set-up, due to his father being PNE cult hero Youl.

The 17-year-old has earned his way to a professional contract, signed in the summer of 2021, and battled injuries to still enjoy a successful season with Nick Harrison’s side.

A well-spoken, energetic central midfielder, he scored five goals during the 2021/22 season, and particularly impressed in the big games, scoring away at Sutton United in the Youth Cup and putting in a brilliant performance in the EFL Youth Alliance Cup final at Luton Town, assisting the first goal.

He made several first team appearances during the 2021 pre-season, scoring once and assisting twice in a four-minute spell against Bamber Bridge, and will be looking to follow in the footsteps of his father and add to those during the 2022/23 campaign.
