Noah Mawene’s name stands out in the U19s set-up, due to his father being PNE cult hero Youl.

The teenager has earned his way to a professional contract, signed in the summer of 2021, and battled injuries to still enjoy a successful season with Nick Harrison’s side.

He made several first team appearances during the 2021 pre-season, scoring once and assisting twice in a four-minute spell against Bamber Bridge.

A well-spoken, energetic central midfielder, he scored five goals during the 2021/22 season, and particularly impressed in the big games, scoring away at Sutton United in the Youth Cup and putting in a brilliant performance in the EFL Youth Alliance Cup final at Luton Town, assisting the first goal.

Bigger moments followed in the 2022/23 campaign, as he was awarded his professional debut in an away victory against Blackburn Rovers and he also captained the U19s to victory in the Lancashire FA Youth Professional Cup, as well as helping his side reach the quarter-finals of the FA Youth Cup.
