Calum Woods Agrees Contract Extension

16 October 2017

Preston North End defender Calum Woods has signed an extension to his contract until at least the summer of 2019.

The Liverpool-born full back joined the Lilywhites in the summer of 2014 from Huddersfield Town and started in the club’s Play-Off Final win at Wembley the following summer.

Following a year on the sidelines after a knee injury, the 30-year-old has returned to the squad under Alex Neil and started two of the last three away games at right back.

His current contract was due to run out at the end of the current season, but he has signed a new deal that takes him until the end of the 2018/19 campaign.

Speaking about putting pen to paper the North End No.15 said: “I'm absolutely delighted to sign an extension to my deal, it's a great feeling to know that I'm going to be at this club even longer.

"It was a dark place when I got my injury so it feels like all that hard work has paid off now, I'm just absolutely delighted, it's a club that you definitely want to be a part of at the minute."
