PNE To Celebrate Retro Day In Aid Of Gary Parkinson Trust

20 March 2019

This year we will once again be supporting 'Retro Day', a fan led event which will be held on Good Friday.

North End host Ipswich Town on Friday 19th April with a 3pm kick-off, and this year's event will be held in aid of The Gary Parkinson Trust.

Former North End defender Gary Parkinson was diagnosed with locked-in syndrome at the age of just 42, following a stroke in September 2010.

Luke Parkinson, Gary's son, recently provided an update on Gary's condition which can be read here.

The family are continuing to raise funds to give Gary the best care and the best qualitiy of life, and we are calling for PNE fans to join us in showing their support this Retro Day!

Gary and his family will be special guests on the day, with a range of former players also coming to Deepdale. There will be a number of former players holding a signing session ahead of the game and more will be pitchside at half-time for a warm welcome back to Deepdale.

The players will wear warm up t-shirts supporting the Gary Parkinson Trust, with bucket collections around the ground so please donate where you can. Donations can also be made directly to the Trust by clicking here.

There is lots planned for the day, and full details and times will be confirmed in the coming weeks ahead of the game.

So dust off your old PNE shirts and show your support for Retro Day and more importantly Gary Parkinson.

Tickets for this game are now on sale and you can get yours now online at MyPNE.Com, by calling 0344 856 1966 or in person from the ticket office!
