The Lilywhites are 1-0 after Jermaine Beckord's early goal in the first leg at the Proact Stadium on Thursday evening with a place in the final at Wembley well within reach!

The striker has been in fine form in the run in alongside strike partner Joe Garner and the pair could be vital as North End look to build on victory in the first leg.

Speaking ahead of the game, Simon Grayson spoke of the importance of the first goal in the tie.

"We're delighted that we've got a slender lead to bring back to Deepdale. We'll have a big crowd around us and they'll be expecting us to go for the next goal.

"The next goal is important, I saw Paul Cook interviewed after the game and he said the next goal in this game is very decisive because it obviously gives us a good cushion or it gets them back into the game.

"That's what cup competitions are all about. Basically the thing you say to the players is make sure you're in the tie in the second leg. With the result on Thursday we've given ourselves a great opportunity, we've stayed in the game and also we've got that goal.

"We are well and truly in this game but we won't underestimate Chesterfield because they've shown what they are capable of doing.

"What we've done is give ourselves an opportunity and we will take confidence into the game on Sunday."

Also speaking ahead of the game, skipper Tom Clarke reiterated the importance of the fans as PNE look to make the most of the home advantage.

"It's going to be a massive help to us with them singing and getting behind the team. I'm sure they will, they've done it all season and it's going to be important for Sunday that they get behind us.

"It's going to be a difficult game but we're confident and I'm sure they will back us all the way.

"When you're walking out to a big crowd and they sing all game and with the away fans as well, like at Chesterfield, they were unbelievable. We're going to need them, and like I say they've backed us all season.

"We've been given a second chance, and it's unbelievable, you don't get many second chances and we have another chance to get out of this league. It's a massive game and everyone knows that; the fans, the staff and the players know that we are one game away now from Wembley."

We will have build up across social media ahead of the live stream with kick-off at 2pm on YouTube via the link above, we hope you can join us to relive a memorable afternoon at Deepdale!
