Following Saturday’s 1-0 win against Walsall at Springfields, North End’s U18s were crowned as Youth Alliance North West Division champions for 2023/24 - with Wrexham failing to secure the single point needed in their final outing of the season at Stockport County.
56 points proved to be enough for Andy Fensome and John Welsh’s young North End side, managing to keep their noses in front of the likes of Wrexham, Bolton Wanderers, Morecambe, and Accrington Stanley to secure the league title.
The only goal of the game against the Saddlers came from Troy Tarry and league success completed a double for the campaign following Youth Alliance Cup victory against Portsmouth at Fratton Park almost a month ago.
Congratulations to the lads on a remarkable season!
