Community Player of the Year and PFA Community Champion Bailey Wright was honoured to accept both awards at Deepdale on Sunday.
The Australian international received both awards as recognition for his commitment to the community, giving up his free time throughout the season to attend various events and Bailey is more than happy to give back to the fans.
"It's nice to be able to give back to people who have followed us and put so much into helping us to acheive what we have acheieved.
"As players, without fans and people supporting you and giving you their back you don't really have football.
"There's allsorts of things you can do out in the community and there really is a wide range of people you can work with, all different sorts of cultures, people with disabilities and people who have faced different challenges, but at the end of the day it's nice to meet a lot of different people, to get to know them and enjoy the day with them.
"We've had a great year this year, getting ourselves back in the Championship where we belong and we've made sure we have stayed there. It looks like it's going to be a top half finish, and I think the Club as a whole is heading in the right direction, not just what we do on the football pitch but things out in the community as well.
"You're starting to see more and more things happening like the soccer schools, helping charities, like Rainbow House. It really has been great to be able to work with them, obviously Mr Hemmings is heavily involved with them, he's helped with their building and we had the charity day for Prostate Cancer UK.
"There's many more that we work with that people don't really know about, or hear much about so hopefully over the coming years it will grow more and more and all of us will be a part of it."
Wright admits that the welcome he receieved when he first arrived at the Club inspired him further to give back to the community that he became a part of aged just 14 when he joined the PNE Academy.
"When you move to a new country, you can be intimidated or maybe sometimes feel unwelcome but that was never the case here. Coming to the Club, I moved into the digs and from day one the people around there and the club were great and really welcoming.
"Once you start to establish yourself a bit more in the first team you get recognised more and people tend to know you a bit more and it's been great.
"It feels like home from home here, I've spent a big chunk of my life over here now and hopefully there's a big chunk more. I've enjoyed it and I feel settled here and when you've got a nice community around you it makes a big difference."
