Gaffer: We Go Again

5 May 2015

Manager Simon Grayson insists his side are ready to go again as they look to take advantage of a second chance at promotion through the play-offs.

The PNE boss was left hurting after his dropped out of the automatic promotion places on the final day of the season but admits that must be brushed aside now as he looks lead his side to promotion via the play-offs.

"Football has a strange way of kicking you where it hurts at times, you have to dust yourself down. Yes we're disappointed, that's happened now, we can't concentrate on that.

"What we do have to do is focus on Thursday and Sunday and try and achieve our target of promotion, because we've still got that opportunity.

"It was a bit of a body blow on Sunday for everybody connected with the football club but we have to go again. It's another opportunity as we keep saying and we will give it our best shot.

"The one thing I will say is that anybody who, before the weekend, were in the play-offs, the one team they wouldn't want to be playing is us because of the run that we're on, the players that we've got and how well we were playing." The gaffer added.

"A lot of teams would not be wanting to play us given how we can perform on our day but obviously we've got to deal with the disappointment and we will do.

"We're back in, we are ready to go and we will be focused and ready still to achieve our target. We've been given a second chance and we've got to do something about it."
