May Feeling Sharp Ahead Of London Trip

26 November 2015

Striker Stevie May is fit and raring to go ahead of this weekend's trip to Craven Cottage to face Fulham.

The summer signing has found first team starts hard to come by in recent weeks, but after a number of behind-closed-doors games the Scotsman is ready to fight for his place in the manager's starting Xl.

"I'm definitely feeling sharper, the bounce games help everyone. It's beneficial to the ones that haven't played, and to the ones that have as they get a rest.

"You can tell with all the boys fitness wise and everyone is reaping the benefits from those games.

"I feel a bit sharper and a bit fitter and in these bounce games I've played in I feel stronger towards the end of the games as well which only comes from playing games.

"You can train as much as you want but you need that match fitness and without any midweek games, it's given us that chance to get some games.

"Now I need to try and get into the team, that's the first point of call, and push on from there."
