Preston North End 2016/17 Fixtures Announced

22 June 2016

North End will kick off the 2016/17 campaign on the road against Reading at the Madejski Stadium.

It's the first time since 2008 that the Lilywhites will start the season away from Deepdale, and manager Simon Grayson will be hoping for a positive start to the season against the Royals.

It's then two consecutive home games against Fulham and Derby County to get the season underway at Deepdale.

PNE will get the majority of the long distance away trips out of the way by the end of October, with home games against new boys Aston Villa and Newcastle at Deepdale in the mix on 1st October and 29th October respectively.

The Christmas period looks an exciting prospect, North End kick off December with a trip to Sheffield Wednesday, before hosting Blackburn Rovers in a local derby on Saturday 10th December.

It's then two away trips to Nottingham Forest and Bristol City before a Christmas double at Deepdale against Leeds United on Boxing Day, and Sheffield Wednesday on New Year's Eve.

January sees PNE start 2017 with our first trip to Burton Albion on 2nd January, a first trip to the Pirelli Stadium for North End fans.

Another one North End fans will be looking out for is the trip to Ewood Park which takes place on Saturday 18th March. After a memorable game last year where 7,000 PNE supporters watched the boys claim the bragging rights, the PNE faithful will be hoping for the same again this time.

North End will end the campaign at Molineux on Sunday 7th May, the only game in May after a busy April, which sees seven games for the Lilywhites.
