Winger Callum Robinson is back with Preston North End after a successful weekend away with the England U20 squad.

Robinson played a part in both friendlies for the Young Lions, starting against Mexico and scoring the winning penalty, before making a substitute appearance against the USA on Sunday.

It is something the Aston Villa loanee is honoured to be a part of and is hoping for similar results for North End over the Easter period to start a vital month for the Club.

Speaking to PNE Player ahead of Friday's game against Rochdale, Callum said: "It's always good to get away with your country, it's a proud moment for me and my parents and my family. Obviously I was happy to get the winning penalty in the end. Lucky that it was me to finish it off and I did and that's my job.

"Mexico are really good, they play some good football and to be fair they probably deserved to get the draw in the end but obviously we won on penalties. Against USA we played much better football, we broke them down much more and I got on for the last twenty minutes in that game so it was good to come on."

The 20-year-old has now returned to training with North End as is looking forward to a challenging month with the Lilywhites which will help define the Club's position in League One as Simon Grayson and his players push for promotion.

"I just tweeted this morning actually saying we have a massive month ahead of us, we've got seven games this month which is really big. All the boys know that and I know that so hopefully we can win every game.

"Obviously that's what we want to do, if we draw a few, we draw a few, but as long as we get promoted that's the main thing."
