Preston North End Community and Education Trust is to host a free holiday club at Moor Nook Young People’s Centre for school children accessing free school meals.
The provision forms part of Spring North’s Get Stuck In programme, through which the Trust will deliver free holiday clubs at five sites across Preston.
The free holiday club at Moor Nook will run from 3pm until 7pm on Mondays to Thursdays throughout August, for 12 to 16-year-olds.
Head of Community Engagement Rebecca Robertson said: “We’re really pleased to be increasing our involvement in the Get Stuck In programme by offering a fifth free holiday club for children in Preston at Moor Nook Young People’s Centre.
“With four sites already providing a service for primary school children, it is important for us now to be adding a fifth site that will cater to children of a high school age.
“The service will continue to provide a free meal for those who access the free holiday club along with physical activities and educational workshops.”
