“We Passed The Ball Well”

16 July 2013

Assistant manager Glynn Snodin spoke to PNE Player after the Jack Kirkland Trophy victory at Victory Park on Tuesday night.

Goals from Graham Cummins and Joel Byrom gave the Lilywhites a 2-0 win after a positive passing display from team against Gary Flitcroft’s outfit.

Speaking after the trophy presentation, ‘Snods’ told the Club’s online TV channel that he felt it was an excellent workout: “It was a lot different work out to Saturday.

“We chased the ball for nearly 80 minutes on Saturday against a great side and what they did to us, we had to come to Chorley and do that to them and I thought they did really well for an hour.

“I thought we passed the ball well. We had a good work rate and we created chances and I thought we were magnificent.”

He was also thrilled with the understandings that were starting to appear within the team: “You can already see the understanding that is there between the lads.

“We’ve been seeing it in training, unfortunately the fans didn’t see it on Saturday, but hopefully they saw it tonight and will see it more and more as the days and the weeks go on, so by the time we get to the Wolves game we will all see the performance that we want.”

The full interview with the assistant boss will be available on PNE Player on Wednesday morning.
