Neil Kilkenny: "We Passed The Ball Well"

25 August 2015

Neil Kilkenny put in a man of the match display as North End knocked out Premier League opposition at Deepdale.

The Lilywhites dumped out Watford to set up a tie with another promoted side, Bournemouth, in the third round.

The Aussie marshalled a midfield three as the Lilywhites kept a clean sheet against the Hornets and after the game he spoke to PNE PlayerHD about the side’s progress.

“It was a good performance and a good win,” he told the Club’s online video service. “They pass the ball well, but we dug in, we got the early goal and we passed the ball well and it was a good game that all the lads enjoyed. Everyone played well and worked hard

“The manager made a few changes and the lads who came in did well and hopefully we can carry that on into the weekend.

“We have to concentrate on the league again for a while now and in the Championship the games come thick and fast and we are looking forward to the weekend and a good test against Hull City now.”
