PNE Duo Feature In Republic Of Ireland Draw

11 September 2018

Preston North End's Callum Robinson and Graham Burke were both in action for Republic of Ireland in the 1-1 draw with Poland in Wroclaw.

Robinson was handed a second consecutive start following his debut on Thursday night against Wales, with Burke a second half substitute, replacing his North End teammate on the hour mark.

After defeat against Wales in the UEFA Nations League in Cardiff, Martin O'Neill's side earned a draw away to Poland. Aiden O'Brien opened the scoring with a goal on his debut just after the break to give Ireland the lead, but a late goal from the hosts levelled proceedings.

Burke and Robinson will now return to Springfields ahead of this weekend's return to Championship action against Reading at Deepdale on Saturday, with both players earning their second caps for the Irish on Tuesday evening.

Next up for the boys in green is the visit of Northern Ireland on 15th November at Aviva Stadium.
