Next week, the whole world will come together for World Book Day, and to celebrate the wonderful world of literacy, there will be an opportunity for children of all ages to swap World Book Day tokens for this Saturday's game for new novels with WHSmith joining us for the afternoon.
WHSmith booksellers will be in attendance at the Sir Tom Finney Executive Entrance from 1pm until kick-off where a whole array of books will be on offer for individuals to snap up using World Book Day £1 tokens only, no cash or card payments can be taken.
This engagement, delivered by the Premier League and the National Literacy Trust will see WHSmith provide books for a total of 45 professional football clubs, including Preston North End who are encouraging fans of all ages to take up the £1 book offer.
In its 22ndyear, World Book Day will be celebrated on Thursday 7thMarch this year where children of all ages will come together to explore the pleasures of reading.
World Book Day will be sending over 15 million £1 book tokens to schools and pre-schools packs along with World Book Day resources full of ideas and activities, display material and information about how to celebrate World Book Day with the day marked in over 100 countries all over the world.
