Preston North End manager Alex Neil welcomes back Irish international Sean Maguire, after the forward missed last weekend’s trip to Wolves.
However, fellow Irishman Alan Browne sits out the game due to a one match ban, after his red card at Molineux.
Marnick Vermijl is also available again after missing the trip to the Black County, but the three experienced defenders of Tommy Spurr, Tom Clarke and Greg Cunningham are all unavailable.
In Browne’s absence, the manager has a number of options, with the choice of just replacing one Irishman for another, putting Maguire back in, being one of them.
Declan Rudd is nearing a return to action, having been eased back into training following his thigh problem and he could be ready to push for inclusion in the 18 over the next few weeks.
